General settings
Priorities

To avoid so called skipping in the playback you should use as high priority levels as possible. However setting the process priority to realtime is serious risk, since if Apollo (for some reason) falls into an infinite loop it will consume all system resources causing the system to hang. There is usually no reason why you should touch these settings.

Miscellaneous
Allow multiple instances of Apollo

With this option set, you can launch multiple instances of Apollo by clicking the Apollo icon again and again. If this option is not set and you try to start Apollo again while it is already running, the running instance will be set as the active application and no new instances will be launched.

Start playing the default playlist at startup

Quite self-explanatory.

Show splash screen at startup

Quite self-explanatory.

Ignore ID3 tags

Set this if you do not want Apollo to read ID3 tags. Try this if you suspect that Apollo keeps crashing because of ID3 tags (e.g. Apollo hangs in the properties dialog).

Use mouse wheel to set volume

If this option is enabled scrolling the mouse wheel on Apollo window will set the volume accordingly.

Enable suppport for multimedia keys

If this option is enabled the multimedia keys (play, stop etc.) on your multimedia keyboard (if you have one) are captured by Apollo.

File extension associations

You can associate Apollo with the file types supported by the installed input plug-ins. This way you can start playing them, for example, by double clicking them in the Windows Explorer.

The list shows all currently supported file extensions. The ones with which Apollo is associated are highlighted. You can change the associations by highlighting items in the list or by using the buttons to the left of the list.

Note that if you install a new input plug-in, you will have to come here and select the new extensions to associate Apollo with them.
